I would like to point out that, since this video was taped in July of this year, the proposed legislation to which the congressman is referring is not the final legislation passed by Congress a few days ago. I can’t say for certain whether those statements he made still hold true, but I think it would be best to have a taped reaction that is more recent.

Personally, I find it difficult to believe that the AMA and the AARP would get behind a bill that both removes choice and reduces a cancer patient’s chance to survive. That does not make any sense; it would be like shooting themselves in the foot.

    Thank you for your comment.
The AMA and AARP have huge lobbies that monitor what is going on. We all need to be actively involved in knowing what our legislators are doing as well. Don’t leave something as important as healthcare up to others to decide for you.

Nice post. I know it’s a little off topic but what theme are you using? I’ve been attempting to make my own custom theme for a WordPress powered website (like yours) and I’d like to have a peek at the css your theme is uses.

  6. Margaret says:

My theme is MistyLook 3.7.2 by Sadish. My website designer replaced the banner with a photo of my choice.
On my other wordpress blog I use the Tarski theme by Benedict Eastaugh and Chris Sternal-Johnson.
    Have a nice day.
