Adam has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. (The same kind of cancer I wrote about in my Novel Save the Child) His sister, Hope maintains a blog all about him. She is a budding young writer and is doing a great job. She also maintains a Facebook community page for him. She’s doing a great job of social networking. Two Fundraisers this weekend:
Yard Sale, Saturday March 5th, 2011 Gilbert/queen Creek area and ALL proceeds go to Adam’s medical expenses. There have been so many donations it will be an amazing sale. The address is 18804 E. Superstition Dr. Gilbert, AZ 85297 (in Cortina). Directions: From AZ – 202 Loop East Take exit 42 for Val Vista Dr. Turn right at S. Val Vista Dr. Turn left at E. Germann Rd. Turn right at S. Higley Rd. Take a right on E. Superstition Dr. and go to #18804.
Writers Unite to Fight Cancer will be at the Spring for a Cure Festival but have also donated several books for this yard sale to benefit Adam.
We will hold a separate fund-raising book event to contribute towards the Medical Savings Account for Adam in April at the Dana Park Barnes and Noble Store. The date will be determined soon and I will post all of the information both here and on the Writers Unite to Fight Cancer Event Page. Please check back for updates.
