I am one of eight authors that will have their books featured in the Goodfellow Publishing Book Launch this coming Thursday November 4th, 2010 from 7:00pm until 10:00 pm at the Wright House Reception Centre in Mesa, Arizona 85201.
All of us have joined together to form the group Writers Unite to Fight Cancer. We will hold a silent auction during our celebration event to raise money for the American Association for Cancer Research. The vehicle for
collecting the monetary contributions is provided by one of the authors, Lisa Finder who wrote Black Sand, is the founder or White Lions Foundation. White Lions is a non-profit 501 (3) (c ) public charity that provides nutritional supplements directly to cancer patients.
One of the Writers Unite to Fight Cancer authors, Barbara Lofgreen who wrote Generations, has Stage IV Lung Cancer. She serves as our Mascot – the reason to work hard to raise money for cancer research. Also all of us have been touched by this devastating disease and so we are passionately motivated about this issue.
Dr. Pamela R. Goodfellow is the book producer and developmental editor for all of the authors in Writers Unite to Fight Cancer. The other authors include: Cindy R. Williams who wrote Chase McKay Didn’t Get Up Today, Carrie E. Goodfellow who wrote and illustrated What Can You Do When It’s 102?, Louise Laughlin author of I Must Be Dreaming, Santa Goes Shopping, and Libby’s Vacation, and Anna Arnett wrote her memoir Lolly’s Yarn.
Please come enjoy the music, entertainment, auction, meeting the authors and buy some wonderful gifts for Christmas and other special occasions.
